The Melodics are a duo formed of 2 passionate cover musicians from Geraldton WA, Bryn & Zain 

Anne has been playing in Geraldton for over 20 years and regularly performs at Festivals, Pub Venues and Weddings. Anne plays many different genres and loves to put her own spin on her covers. 

Combining a wide range of influences and genres, Good Strife brings a new sound to WA’s thriving music scene.

Founding members, the sisters Kimberley and Caroline Allison started the band back in 2018 as a duo, and since then have continually built upon their already unique sound. With a growing list of original songs under their name. Good Strife is changing the sounds of original music by producing a rock/pop/metal sound.

Kim’s vocals amaze crowds wherever she has sung and can hold notes longer than you’d expect. Caroline is the song writer and maintains the groove with her energetic rhythm guitar.

Their bass player, Richard Donohue, continues to bring in his own musical styles on the bass to add to Good Strife’s evolving unique sound. Zephyr is a familiar face in the music community as well as in the Champion Bay High School band. His incredible drumming skills have found its new home here with Good Strife. Finn Smith is another familiar face out there, with his versatile styles as a lead guitarist, he’s brought in something incredible to Good Strife’s sound.

With the release of their single ‘Just Right Now’ in 2021, the band has seen themselves added to festival line-ups such as WAMFest, as well as becoming established in other music events such as the Beaufort St Songwriters Club in Perth, Shore Leave Festival, the Newman Outback Fusion Festival, and local sporting club events.

They are also 2-time winners of the Original Song category for the Geraldton Battle of the Bands event.

While Good Strife keeps busy with their regular regional shows and tours across the Midwest, Gascoyne, and Pilbara, they always look forward to playing for their hometown, the place where they began and found their sound. This band is versatile and enjoy interacting with the crowd, getting everyone on their feet and singing along.

Good Strife are currently in the process of recording their first album and can’t wait to share their works with all their fans and followers, both local and across the state.

 “Damaged Goods” duo is James McDonald on guitar and Josh Crothers on keyboard. Don’t be concerned with their ‘rough around the edges’ look…….. This band was born out of the well-established Mid-West band C4. They perform a variety of styles and covers, with an emphasis on vocal harmony and musical interaction. 

Alida Sue is a Jazz Trained singer who has enjoyed performing in a variety of formats from solo, to fronting an eleven-piece funk band, ‘The Retrosonics’. Putting roots down in Geraldton a decade ago, Alida has performed at various local festivals, again influenced by singers of the past such as Patsy Cline, Etta James and Joni Mitchell. Alida Sue brings a soulful bluesy twist to a variety of songs that are sure to appeal to all.
